Ordering & Delivery

How do I order a dumpster in Amarillo?
Call (806) 699-6700. Tell us your project, delivery address, and pick a size — most residential orders take under five minutes, no site visit and no in-person contract required. See our full ordering guide for the step-by-step.
Can I get same-day dumpster delivery in Amarillo, TX?
Yes. Call before noon and we deliver the same day across Amarillo, Canyon, and Bushland. After noon, next-morning delivery is standard. We deliver Monday through Saturday, so a Saturday-afternoon call goes out first thing Monday. No rush fee for same-day service within our delivery area.
Can I get a dumpster delivered on a weekend?
Saturdays, yes — we deliver 8 AM to 6 PM with no weekend surcharge. We’re closed Sundays. Saturdays book up fast for remodel and cleanout projects, so call earlier in the week if you can.
Do you deliver outside Amarillo city limits?
Yes — Canyon, Bushland, Panhandle, Claude, and Vega are all in our regular delivery area at the same flat-rate pricing. See our full service area page for the complete list of towns and counties, or call if your address isn’t listed.
What do I need to prepare before the dumpster arrives?
Clear a space roughly 60 feet long by 10 feet wide with about 20 feet of overhead clearance, and move any vehicles out of the way. Decide exactly where you want it set down before the truck shows up — it saves everyone time. Full checklist on our delivery prep page.
Can I change my delivery date or address after booking?
Usually, yes — call as soon as you know. If the truck hasn’t been routed for your delivery yet, changing the date or address is a quick fix. The closer it gets to your scheduled time, the less flexibility we have, so earlier is always better. There’s no cancellation fee as long as you reach us before the truck is dispatched.
Do I need to be home for delivery or pickup?
No. As long as we know exactly where to put it — mark the spot or tell us on the call — our driver can deliver and pick up without you there. Just make sure the area is clear.
Can I have the dumpster moved after it’s placed?
Yes — call us and we’ll move it. Don’t try to move a loaded roll-off yourself; it’s too heavy and can damage your property. If we placed it wrong, we move it at no charge.

Pricing & Fees

How much is dumpster rental in Amarillo?
Starting prices: $250 for a 10-yard, $269 for a 15-yard, $320 for a 20-yard, $495 for a 30-yard, and $599 for a 40-yard. Every price is flat-rate and includes delivery, pickup, the rental period, and a tonnage allowance. See our sizes and pricing page for the full breakdown by size.
What’s actually included in the flat rate?
Delivery, pickup, your rental period (3, 7, or 14 days), and a set weight allowance for the container size you book. Nothing gets tacked on unless you go over the weight allowance or keep the container past your rental period — both of which we tell you about up front, not after the fact.
Are there hidden fees I should watch for?
No fuel surcharges, no delivery fee, no pickup fee. The only charges that can come up are real costs — a weight overage or an extended rental period — and both are things you can plan around. Our hidden fees guide walks through exactly what to ask any Amarillo dumpster company before booking.
What happens if the dumpster goes over the weight limit?
You pay an overage fee per ton, calculated from the actual landfill weight ticket — not an estimate. A full shingle tear-off on a standard Amarillo house can generate 2–4 tons of roofing debris alone. We tell you the included tonnage limit at booking. See our weight limits guide for what’s included by size.
How do I pay, and is anything due up front?
We confirm payment details when you book, over the phone — there’s no separate site visit or paperwork step before delivery. Ask about payment specifics for your job when you call; we’d rather tell you directly than post a generic policy that doesn’t match your situation.
Is a dumpster rental cheaper than hiring a junk hauling crew?
For anything bigger than a few heavy items, usually yes. Junk haulers price per load and charge for labor; a dumpster is one flat rate no matter how many trips it would’ve taken you to haul it yourself. Haulers make more sense for one or two items you can’t lift — not a full garage or estate cleanout.
Do you charge more for heavy debris like concrete or shingles?
The rental rate is the same regardless of material — what changes is how fast you use up your weight allowance. Concrete and dirt run close to a ton per cubic yard, so a 10-yard full of concrete hits its limit long before a 10-yard full of furniture does. Mention heavy material when you book so we size for weight, not just space.
Can’t I just use the City of Amarillo’s free bulk pickup?
For a few big items, yes — the City’s bulky item pick-up takes furniture, appliances, mattresses, and hot tubs from Amarillo homes, and it’s worth using. Where it falls short: construction debris and tires cost extra, everything has to sit at the curb, and pickup comes 1–3 business days after the date the City sets. You still load a rented dumpster yourself either way, but it sits on your property for the whole rental period, so you’re not carrying items to the curb or working around a city pickup date.

Container Sizes

What size dumpster do I need for a home cleanout?
A single room usually fits a 10-yard. A full Amarillo house — furniture, decades of storage, everything at once — is the more common call for a 15-yard. Our size calculator walks through it in under a minute if you’re not sure.
What size dumpster do I need for a roof replacement?
Most single-layer tear-offs up to about 20 squares fit a 15-yard container. Full roof replacements or double-layer tear-offs usually need a 20-yard. See our roofing dumpster page for details, or call and tell us your square footage — we’ll size it right the first time.
What’s the real difference between a 10, 20, and 30-yard dumpster?
A 10-yard (1–2 tons included) fits a garage or single-room job. A 20-yard (3–4 tons) handles a kitchen remodel or estate cleanout. A 30-yard (4–6 tons) is built for whole-house demolition and new construction. Size up when you’re unsure — the jump in flat rate is usually smaller than a real overage fee.
What does “cubic yards” actually mean?
One cubic yard is a 3-foot cube — 27 cubic feet. It’s a volume measurement, not weight, which is why a 10-yard container can hold ten of those cubes’ worth of light debris but only a couple tons before it maxes out on heavier material like concrete or dirt.
Can I fill the dumpster above the rim?
No. A level load is what makes it legal for the truck to haul off your property — material mounded above the rail can’t be transported safely. If you’re at the top and still have debris left, call us. We’d rather arrange a swap than let you overload it.
What if I fill the dumpster before my rental period ends?
Call us. We can schedule an early pickup and swap in a second container if the job’s bigger than expected, or just pick up early if you’re done. Either way, it’s a phone call, not a problem.

Rental Period & Extensions

How long can I keep a rental dumpster in Amarillo?
Standard periods run 3, 7, or 14 days. Need longer — say, for a two-week Wolflin estate cleanout or a drawn-out remodel — call before your period ends and we add days at a flat daily rate you’ll know before it happens. Finish early? Call and we pick it up same day. No penalty for going short.
How do I extend my rental if the project runs long?
Call before your rental period ends and we’ll add days at a flat daily rate. The earlier you call, the easier it is — waiting until the truck is already scheduled for pickup makes it a tighter turnaround for everyone.
Can I get the dumpster picked up early?
Yes, and we don’t pick up early without confirming with you first — that early-pickup-then-surprise-fee pattern is a real industry problem, and it’s not how we operate. Call when you’re done and we’ll schedule it, usually within a day or two. Full detail on our pickup and rental period page.
Is there a minimum rental period?
Our shortest standard window is 3 days. Even a fast weekend cleanout gets the full 3-day period at the same flat rate — you’re not charged less for finishing in a day, but you’re also not rushed.

What Can Go In

What can’t go in a rental dumpster?
Paint, motor oil, propane tanks, batteries, tires, Freon-containing appliances, asbestos materials, and other liquid chemicals are banned under TCEQ rules and City of Amarillo ordinance. See our full accepted and prohibited materials list before you load anything questionable.
Can I put old appliances in the dumpster?
Stoves, dishwashers, and washers go in with no issue. Refrigerators, freezers, and window AC units are the exception — federal law (EPA Section 608) requires a certified technician to recover the refrigerant first. See appliances in our accepted-items guide for how that works.
Can I put concrete, brick, or dirt in the dumpster?
Yes, but mention it when you book. Concrete, brick, and Amarillo’s dense caliche soil run close to a ton per cubic yard — a load that looks small can eat your entire weight allowance. We’ll size the container for weight, not just how full it looks.
Can I put tires, batteries, or electronics in the dumpster?
No. Tires, car batteries, and most electronics need separate disposal or recycling. Tires go to the City of Amarillo Landfill at 16250 Bezner Dr for a fee (TCEQ explains Texas tire rules), and most auto parts stores take used car batteries.
What happens if a prohibited item ends up in my load?
Call us before pickup if you catch it. Landfills reject loads with hazardous material mixed in, which can delay your pickup and add a return trip — it’s much easier to pull an item out beforehand than after the truck leaves.

Project-Specific Questions

What size dumpster do I need for a kitchen or bathroom remodel?
A single bathroom gut usually fits a 10-yard. A full kitchen — cabinets, countertops, flooring, maybe an appliance or two — more often calls for a 15 or 20-yard. See our remodeling dumpster page for the room-by-room breakdown.
What size do I need for a full estate or whole-house cleanout?
A full estate cleanout — every room, closet, attic, and garage — usually needs a 20-yard starting at $320. Larger or longer-occupied homes with decades of accumulation often need a 30-yard starting at $495. We recommend sizing up rather than risking a mid-job swap. Details on our estate cleanout page.
How many dumpsters do I need for a roof tear-off?
One 15 or 20-yard covers most single-family roofs. Larger homes, multi-layer tear-offs, or a two-story with a steep pitch sometimes need a mid-job swap rather than a bigger container — tell us the square footage and layer count when you book and we’ll tell you straight whether one will do it.
What size dumpster fits a garage or basement cleanout?
A standard one or two-car garage cleanout fits a 10-yard, starting at $250. Clearing the garage alongside a basement, or a garage that doubles as a workshop, usually calls for a 15-yard at $269. More on garage cleanouts on our home cleanout page.
Can roofing contractors set up a weekly pull account?
Yes. We run weekly pull accounts for roofing crews and general contractors across Amarillo and the Panhandle, with delivery before your crew arrives, mid-job swap-outs, and monthly invoicing. Call to set up — spring hail season fills our commercial calendar fast.

Local Rules & Permits

Do I need a permit to place a dumpster in Amarillo?
Not if it sits on your driveway or anywhere else on private property — that covers the large majority of our deliveries. A permit only comes into play when a dumpster has to sit in the street or another public right-of-way. Full detail on our permit guide.
Will a roll-off dumpster damage my driveway?
Not if we do our job right. We carry plywood boards on every truck and set them under the container before it touches your surface. Concrete driveways handle the weight without issue — older asphalt and pavers are more vulnerable, so tell us when you book and we’ll plan the drop accordingly.
My driveway is short, or I don’t have one — what are my options?
Tell us on the call. A lot of older homes near downtown and San Jacinto have short or narrow driveways, and we can usually still place a 10 or 15-yard container. If it truly won’t fit, street placement is possible with a city permit — we’ll walk you through that option too.
My HOA has rules about dumpsters — what should I know?
Some Amarillo neighborhoods, including parts of Wolflin and Sleepy Hollow, have HOA guidelines about visibility from the street or how long a container can sit out. Check your covenant before booking — we’re happy to work around placement restrictions once we know them.
Do you serve rural properties outside Amarillo city limits?
Yes — Potter, Randall, Armstrong, Carson, and Oldham counties are all in our regular service area. City right-of-way rules only apply inside Amarillo’s city limits; outside them, requirements are set by the county instead. Tell us your address and we’ll flag anything unusual before delivery.

Pickup & After

How do I schedule pickup?
Call us when you’re finished, even before your rental period ends. We typically schedule pickup within a day or two — no need to wait until the last day of your window.
What happens when the dumpster is picked up?
The truck hauls it to the landfill and it gets weighed, both loaded and empty. That real weight ticket, not a guess, is what determines whether your load went over the included tonnage.
What if my dumpster is overfilled when the truck arrives?
The driver can’t legally haul a container loaded above the rim. If that happens, you’ll need to pull material down to a level load before pickup can happen — it’s easier to keep an eye on the fill level as you go than to deal with this at the last minute.
Can I add more items after I’ve scheduled pickup?
If the truck hasn’t been dispatched yet, usually yes — just call and let us know. Once the driver’s on the way, it’s too late to add more without pushing the pickup back, so call as soon as you know you’ve got more to load.
